Sample Codicil To Last Will And Testament

 

FIRST CODICIL TO THE
LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT 
OF
Blaine Benson Bobbson1

     I, Blaine Benson Bobbson2 (name) of Cedar Rapids3 (city), Iowa3 (state), do make, publish and declare this FIRST CODICIL to my Last Will and Testament dated August4 (month), 19th4 (day), 19964 (year).

I.

     I hereby revoke ARTICLE VI Section E5 of said Will and substitute the following in lieu thereof:

ARTICLE VI6

     E. GUARDIAN:7  If any of my children are minors at the time of my death and in the event my spouse does not survive me, I appoint my sister-in-law, Wilma Bobbson, to serve as guardian over said minor children.7

     Further, I wish to add the following ARTICLE VI Section F8 in addition to the existing Articles:

ARTICLE VI9

     F. GUARDIAN RELEASE:10  If in the good judgment of the guardian established in Article VI Section E my sister-in-law, Wilma Bobbson, determines that any of my children are self-sufficient at the age of 16, she may grant certain privileges to each child, pending said child's maturity and good behavior.10

II.

     In all other respects I hereby ratify and confirm the provisions of my Last Will and Testament dated August 19th11, 199611.

 

     I subscribed this my FIRST CODICIL to my Last Will and Testament on this 19th12 day of August12, 199612.

ATTESTATION CLAUSE

 

     We, the undersigned, certify that the foregoing instrument was signed and declared by Blaine Benson Bobbson14 as his first15 Codicil to Last Will in the presence of us, who in Blaine Benson Bobbson's16 presence and in presence of each other have, at Blain Benson Bobbson's17 request, hereunto signed our names as witnesses of the execution thereof this 19th18 day of August18 yr 199618; and we hereby certify that we believe said Blaine Benson Bobbson19 to be of sound mind and memory.
